To provide clerical assistance and support to the Emergency Medical Unit staff.
Assist in the coordination of services for patients on the ward.
To relieve other ward clerks in the Emergency Department and Emergency reception for meal breaks.
An opportunity to join the team in the Emergency Medical Unit (EMU) as a ward clerk.
This vacancy is open only to existing MNCLHD staff.

Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience and administrative skills in a healthcare environment
Proven organisational skills and ability to perform duties with attention to detail, and an ability to prioritise competing demands in a high activity environment with minimal supervision within a multidisciplinary environment
Previous experience with patient tracking, booking and/or admission of patients using a computerised patient administration system and other general competent computer skills.
Demonstrated capacity to work as a team member
Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
