Bellingen Council is seeking applications for a Works Assistant Town & Parks Maintenance. This is position is located at Urunga, one of the most picturesque tourist destinations in NSW.
The Works Assistant Town & Parks Maintenance is responsible for undertaking a range of labouring tasks to enhance and maintain the aesthetic and environmental setting of the shire's parks, reserves and roadways. Some of these responsibilities include:
tree maintenance, gardening and landscaping
cleaning of public amenities, garbage collection, street cleaning
medium and small plant operations
Requirements listed for the position are listed below:
Experience in general labouring duties.
Current Class MR drivers licence.
Ability to efficiently operate out-front mowers & tractors, chainsaw and brush cutters.
OH&S General Induction Training for construction.
Literacy & numeracy skills to complete relevant documentation required for the job.
Demonstrated ability to inspect & maintain plant & equipment to maximise operations
Ability to provide efficient & friendly customer serviceto members of the community.

This is a full time role (38 hours per week - 19 day fortnight).
Basic salary $22.36 to $26.11 per hour + SGC
Adverse Working Conditions allowance
