The Renal Supportive Care Nurse will provide comprehensive specialist knowledge, education, and support in the context of a multidisciplinary framework.
The position will act as a patient advocate and will play a lead role in service provision for patients taking into account their multiple health needs, concerns and preferences for care.

Selection Criteria Current registration with the Nurses & Midwives Board of Australian and APRAH
Post graduate qualification relevant to Palliative/Supportive Care (or working towards)
Minimum 3 years experience in the clinical area of the post graduate qualification.
Demonstrated experience at an advanced level in the assessment, care planning and care provision of patients with Palliative/ Supportive Care needs
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement through the use of evidence to evaluate care and implement change
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated computer skills and the capacity to use health related information technology systems.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated commitment to the promotion of professional development, evidenced by the provision of clinical advice, teaching & leadership.
